THE SWORD'S PATH

As I walk in a world created by my God, but tainted by my sin, I find it behooves me to share some of my struggle, my success, my failure. But most of all, I find a world which desperately needs guidance. In a world overgrown by vines of sin, we must equip ourselves with swords to find and keep THE path. Our sword is of the spirit, the Holy Words of God.

Rom 13:8 MKJV (8) Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves another has fulfilled the Law.

On the Road

Been pretty busy today. Have a three day trip planned for Denver, CO and then turning around and heading to east Texas for Easter.

Which brings up a certain subject for me. How do you feel about these pseudo pagan holidays? Do you stay completely away from them? Do you feel guilty hunting eggs, or hanging tree ornaments or dressing up for Halloween? I know several people on both sides of this fence.

Here's my take. I enjoy these holidays. To me, they are just like Memorial day or Independence Day. I enjoy them. I like to spook up my house on Halloween, I like to decorate a tree at Christmas, and I like to cook burgers on Memorial weekend. I also am looking forward to my little girl hunting eggs this weekend. They are no more pagan to me than Presidents Day. I feel that teaching my girl right from wrong and the morals of our God and how to be gentle with people is much more important than hunting eggs. Just my two cents.
